The Natural Side of Arkansas

With 600,000 acres of water across the state, opportunites for outdoor fun are endless! The lakes are fed continuously by freshwater springs and mountian springs, making Arkansas's great lakes some of the cleanest in the world, snorklers, scuba divers, wind sailers, jet skiers, boaters, and fisherman flock to these water to enjoy their incredible beauty. Most of the lakes are tucked away in the two main mountain renges in the state. The Ozark contains Bull Shoals, Greers Ferry, Norfork, Beaver, Dardanelle and other smaller lakes, while the Ouachita Mountainsare home to the DeGray, Greeson, Hamilton, Catherine, Nimrod and Ouachita lakes. Lake Millwood, White Oak, Chicot, and others are found in the southern region of the state.
